Often when a surveyor
writes a report before
a house purchase they only make a brief comment on the electrical
installation. They simply recommend a Periodic Inspection Report for a
detailed analysis, we can provide this.
We often have customers anxious about a purchase because they believe
theirr property requires a rewire. The PIR, however, often finds that
an upgrade of the Consumer Unit (fuseboard) and remedial repairs will
leave the installation 'Satisfactory'.
Similarly, if you are selling and your purchaser is demanding a
reduction in price equivalent to a rewire, we find that a PIR followed
by recommended action will leave the property "Satisfactory" and,
crucially, insurable.
